Dr. Jay Johannigman

Dr. Johannigman served in the military medical corps for 46 years, retiring as a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve in 2025. Over seven combat deployments, he worked as a flight surgeon, trauma specialist, and director of clinical services in combat hospitals in Iraq and Afghanistan. His service earned some of the military’s highest honors, including the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, and the Meritorious Service Medal. Now back home in Cincinnati, he is focused on strengthening the region’s emergency preparedness and trauma readiness.
